Retention and derived refresh strategy coverage

  • Status: Accepted
  • Date: 2026-02-21
  • Context:
    • ERD_INDEXERS.md requires retention windows and derived refresh strategy to be enforced via scheduled jobs.
    • Coverage existed across job tests but the checklist item remained open.
  • Decision:
    • Close the checklist item after mapping and validating existing executable coverage:
      • retention purge windows and table cleanup:
        • job_run_retention_purge_applies_table_windows
      • derived cadence and schedule correctness:
        • job_schedule_cadence_matches_erd_refresh_timing
      • rollup window behavior and boundary semantics:
        • job_run_reputation_rollup_skips_insufficient_samples
        • job_run_reputation_rollup_writes_rates_for_eligible_samples
        • job_run_reputation_rollup_respects_window_boundaries
      • derived refresh jobs:
        • job_run_base_score_refresh_recent_uses_durable_source_activity
        • job_run_canonical_backfill_best_source_recomputes_recent_durable_sources
  • Consequences:
    • Positive outcomes:
      • checklist status now matches implemented, tested ERD behavior.
    • Risks or trade-offs:
      • cadence/window rule changes require test expectation updates in lockstep.
  • Follow-up:
    • Implementation tasks:
      • Continue with the next unchecked behavioral-rule item.
    • Review checkpoints:
